Food styling is everything to me - a hobby, a passion and now a career. My work involves anything food related including: writing features on food styling in national newspaper columns, food related blogs, recipe development, speaking engagements, and television spots.
I style for magazines, motion pictures, supermarket chains, cookbooks and consumer goods packaging. Before pursuing my career in food I attended the University of Guelph and graduated with an honours degree in geography and a minor in fine arts. After deciding to follow my passion for food I honed my chef skills at Le Cordon Bleu in London (and if i can toot my own horn - graduated at the top of my class) with a Grand Diplome in cuisine and patisserie. While living in England, one of my clients was the Royal Family =) !
When I can be pried out of the kitchen, you'll likely find me on either the water in our boat relaxing and enjoying nature or on the snow carving up the slopes.
Here is my second video on ways to decorate your holiday table. This one is a little more over-the-top ornate. But perhaps one of the concepts will inspire you for your next holiday party.
Hi ! I have a couple videos that will be online on the globe and mail's web site about Holiday Table Decorations. This time there will be no articles to go with them. Apparently people are more excited about watching videos than reading articles..... but that's ok because I'm one of them.
